Hotel Pinboard only collects data when you explicitly click the extension icon to "Pin" a hotel. This data includes the hotel name, price information, description, and website URL extracted from the page you are viewing. No data is collected passively or without your direct action.
All collected data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in
chrome.storage.local
API. No data is transmitted to, or stored on, any external servers, databases,
or third-party services. Your hotel lists and notes never leave your device.
Data is used solely for the purpose of organizing your hotel research and generating comparison briefs within the extension. We do not sell, trade, share, or transmit your data to any third parties under any circumstances.
You can delete your data at any time in two ways: by removing individual pinned hotels or entire trips directly within the extension, or by uninstalling the extension, which permanently clears all locally stored data. No residual data is retained after uninstallation.
